Why visit Boracay
Boracay is the Philippines’ most famous island: a four-kilometre ribbon of powder-white sand at White Beach, paraw sailboats silhouetted against the sunset, and a kitesurfing scene on windy Bulabog Beach. Reborn after a 2018 clean-up with strict environmental rules, it is cleaner and calmer than ever — Asia’s beach comeback story.
When to visit Boracay
Boracay’s dry season (November–April, the Amihan wind) is the classic beach window — calm seas and blue skies. The Habagat season (June–October) is wetter and windier, which is exactly when the kitesurfers arrive on Bulabog.
Christmas–New Year and Easter are Boracay’s busiest, priciest weeks — book far ahead. The Habagat season (June–October) can bring rough seas that pause small boats, but it is peak kitesurfing season on Bulabog Beach. Read the full month-by-month guide to the best time to visit Boracay.
